"Goodness me, What a shot," exclaimed Ian Bishop on-air as Kartik Sharma landed that massive six.
"Look at the smile on his face. A six over extra cover is never easy. It's not a six over long-off but a six where its difficult to hit. It was a shot which would have been six in any ground in the world," Sunil Gavaskar said while commentating in the match.
In a special IPL 2026 auction moment, 19-year-old uncapped wicketkeeper-batter Kartik Sharma from Rajasthan fetched a massive ₹14.2 crore from Chennai Super Kings, tying the record for the highest-paid uncapped Indian player alongside teammate Prashant Veer.
