Axar Patel has taken a blinder to dismiss Ishan Kishan of his own bowling in the ongoing IPL 2024 match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals.
After being put into bat by Delhi captain Rishabh Pant, Mumbai Indians made a blockbuster start.

Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan were in destructive mode and played some exquisite shots to give Mumbai a superb start. The pair added 75 runs in the powerplay and were looking in ominous touch.
Axar Patel was brought on and the left-arm spinner changed the game. The 30-year-old spinner knocked over Rohit Sharma first as the MI stalwart got dismissed on 49 runs. A quicker ball caught Rohit in two minds and the ball disturbed Rohit's timber.
Ishan Kishan was going in full throttle as well but a stellar catch from Axar led to his dismissal. Kishan hit one ball powerfully but Axar stuck his left hand out and completed a superb one-handed catch as Ishan went back to the hut after scoring 42 runs.
Axar Patel has been Delhi Capitals' key player in showed his value again with the two scalps. He ended up with figures of 2 for 35 in his four overs.
It was a sharp catch from Axar, who had fragment of a second to react to the shot. The ball was also hit with ferocious power, which makes the catch even more special. Fans on social media hailed the all-rounder for the magnificent catch.
In this edition of IPL, we have seen many catches dropped already as players across all teams have spilt chances. But this catch from Axar Patel is definitely an early contender for the catch of the tournament.
