In Match 20 of IPL 2024, Mumbai Indians will welcome Delhi Capitals at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday (April 7).

Mumbai and Delhi have met 33 times in the past and their winning ratio is 15 to 18 respectively. In their last clash, MI emerged victorious by 6 wickets.

In this season MI has yet to register their first victory after playing 3 matches and sitting at the bottom of the points table. The condition of DC is also very disappointing as they are positioned just above the MI, winning only one match against CSK. In the last match, DC got humbled by KKR by a huge margin of 106 runs at their home.

Both the teams have balanced and experienced bowling squads in this season.

The Mumbai Indians pace battery will be led by Jasprit Bumrah, with assistance from Luke Wood, Gerald Coetzee, and Nuwan Thusara. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya and Piyush Chawla will be in charge of the spin department. Mumbai's bowling performances have not been impressive up to this point, they should improve it versus RR. DC bowlers in the last match against KKR looked clueless for most of the innings and the opponent batters unleashed hell on them by scoring 272 runs. Jasprit Bumrah (MI): The Indian right-arm fast bowler missed the last season of IPL but he is back in this season and has already shown his class. His bowling in the last few matches economic but he has failed to grab wickets in two successive matches. Bumrah has 148 wickets in his IPL career. His accuracy rate and ability to bowl in death overs made him indispensable to the squad.

Gerald Coetzee (MI): The South African youngster has played only three matches in IPL and bagged 3 wickets. Though the right-arm fast bowler has given away too many runs in the past matches, it can be expected that he will amend this issue to cement his spot in the playing XI.

Khaleel Ahmed (DC): The 26-year-old Indian bowler has taken 63 wickets in his IPL career. In this season the left-arm fast bowler picked 6 wickets in 4 matches. His consistency in this season helped him to get wickets in every match he played. He is expected to do the same in the match against MI also.

Anrich Nortje (DC): Anrich Nortje has claimed 57 wickets in his IPL career. He has bagged four wickets in this season so far. The only concern is, that Nortje leaked too many runs in the three matches he played.

The Capitals won after losing the first two matches just to get thrashed by KKR in the very next match. Whereas the Indians are still looking for a way to make a comeback in the league. But currently, the situation for both of them is looking gloomy.
