Mumbai, April 15: Mumbai Indians (MI) will host Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in match 22 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday (April 16).
Rohit Sharma-led MI will look to add to their first win of the season over Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets, while Nitish Rana-led KKR will look to bounce back after suffering a home defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad by 23 runs.
MI opened their campaign with an 8-wicket away loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore and followed that with a home loss to Chennai Super Kings by 7 wickets before stopping the slide in Delhi.
KKR, on the other hand, opened their season with a 7-run (DLS Method) away loss to Punjab Kings, but bounced back with an 81-run home win against RCB followed by an away 3-wicket win over Gujarat Titans before their loss to SRH in Kolkata.
Now, the two sides, who have been involved in some entertaining matches, will clash for the 32nd time in the Indian Premier League. This will also be tenth meeting between MI and KKR at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
