The Wankhede Stadium pitch promises a high-scoring contest, offering a hard surface with a lush grass covering, making it a dream for batters. Fast bowlers need to be cautious, as extra pace could lead to more runs. However, a well-directed bouncer might surprise batters.
Spinners like Varun Chakaravarthy and Sunil Narine could play a key role in restricting runs. The game is set at the ground's center, with the shortest boundary at 54 meters. Experts emphasise that skillful bowlers can still find ways to defend on this batter-friendly track.
