MI vs LSG: In his final innings of the IPL 2024, Nicholas Pooran scored 75 runs off 29 balls as Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) finished at 214/6 at the end of 20 overs at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday (May 17).
The innings from the 28-year-old southpaw consisted of five fours and as many as eight sixes. The knock gave Lucknow the much-needed impetus after they endured a slow start which saw them lose three wickets for 69 runs in 9.3 overs.

Pooran and LSG captain KL Rahul partnered for 109 runs off 44 balls. During the period, Rahul scored 28 runs off 15 balls, while Pooran played the role of the aggressor by contributing with 75 runs off 29.
Arjun Tendulkar, playing in his first match of the season, was hit for two sixes by Nicholas Pooran on the first two balls of the 15th over, before the Mumbai Indians youngster decided to leave the field with a niggle. Naman Dhir came to complete the over as the dangerous batter welcomed him with a six, and then slammed a boundary on the fourth delivery.
The 19-ball fifty from Nicholas Pooran was second-fastest for LSG in IPL. Pooran also hold the record for fastest fifty for LSG. He scored a 15-ball fifty against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in IPL 2024. The West Indies star also has joint-most highest number of IPL fifties in less than 20 balls. Pooran, Jake Fraser-McGurk and Travis Head has three fifties each inside 20 balls in IPL.
The innings also helped Nicholas Pooran complete 7000 runs in T20 cricket. The Trinidad-born cricketer has 39 fifties and two hundreds to his name in the format.
Pooran finished his IPL 2024 campaign with 499 runs in 14 matches at an average of 62.37 and a strike rate of 178.21. Only KL Rahul (520) score more runs than him for LSG. Here's how fans reacted to the masterful knock from Pooran.
