MI vs LSG IPL 2024: Hardik Pandya's Mumbai Indians will host KL Rahul's Lucknow Super Giants in their last match of the IPL 2024 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday, May 17. Mumbai are already out of the playoffs race, and they are reeling at the bottom of the 10-points table with just four wins in 13 matches.
LSG are mathematically not out of the IPL 2024 playoffs race but their qualification chances are really slim. They are reeling at the seventh spot with just five wins in 13 matches. They have lost each of their last three games.

The two sides met each other earlier on April 30. Lucknow defeated Mumbai by 30 runs on that occasion. MI were restricted to 144/7 in the match played at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
"Five games have been played here this season, 200 has been breached twice. Not a big ground, 61m and 66m square boundaries respectively, 72m down the ground. There's a nice layer of grass, it's a lot more consistent. Majority of the pitch looks nice and flat for batting apart from the full length area. The wicket looks rock hard with no moisture. Dew will probably play a part in the second innings. 200-plus total on the cards. We are in for some royal entertainment at the Wankhede tonight," Michael Clarke said ahead of the MI vs SRH match - the last game at the venue.
In the match, SRH scored 173/8 after being asked to bat first. Five wickets were taken by the MI pacers, while spinners Piyush Chawla picked three wickets for 33 runs. In reply, MI chased down the target in 174/3. All three wickets were picked by SRH pacers.
The average innings total here in the last five T20s is 196. Teams batting first have opted to bowl first 79 percent of the time.
No chances of rain in Mumbai on Friday, May 16. With a humidity level of 64 percent, the temperature will hover around 34 degree celsius. The wind speed at the venue will be close to 16 km/h.
