MI vs RCB IPL 2024 Playing 11: Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru Team News, Predicted Lineup & Impact Players

Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru both have made underwhelming starts to their IPL 2024 campaign. As the two teams meet each other on Thursday (April 11), this promises to be an exciting encounter as always.

MI and RCB both are at the bottom half of the table. MI are placed 8th with 2 points in four matches, whereas RCB are 9th with 2 points in five matches. The team losing this match will get themselves into a further slump.

MI vs RCB IPL 2024 Match 25 - The Preview

Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru are in need of a victory. MI are coming into this match on the back of a crucial win over Delhi Capitals in the last match. RCB, on the other hand, have lost thrice in a row and would be desperate to get two more points on the board.

As these two teams lock horns at the Wankhede, we are also likely to witness the key battle of two modern India legends - Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. They will be clashing in the IPL as non-captains for the first time.

MI vs RCB Team News, Injury Update

Mumbai Indians have Surya Kumar Yadav back in the team but the batter scored a duck on his return in the last match. The Paltans are likely to keep the same team which outperformed Delhi Capitals in the last match. Romario Shepherd and Tim David's form down the order is a big plus for them, while the bowling of Jasprit Bumrah has been top-notch all season.

Hardik Pandya said this was just the beginning after the victory over Delhi Capitals, and facing RCB is the perfect opportunity for them to create positive momentum.

RCB are in dire straits and need a win imperatively. Another defeat will be a massive blow to them. Virat Kohli has been their solitary standout performer this season and apart from him, the batting has looked mostly underwhelming. Even their bowlers have failed to execute the plans and have been guilty of haemorrhaging runs.

The Bengaluru team may make a couple of changes to their starting lineup for the MI clash. With 50 runs after four innings, Rajat Patidar may make way for Manoj Bhandage, while Vijaykumar Vyshak may also come in for them for the MI clash. Yash Dayal is likely to be dropped as the left-arm pacer has failed to make a mark in the last couple of matches.
