MI vs RCB IPL 2024: Twitter Grills Glenn Maxwell as he equals humbling 'Ducks' Record in IPL

Glenn Maxwell's nightmare IPL 2024 season continued with yet another dismal outing against Mumbai Indians on Thursday (April 11).

The Australian batter scored yet another duck, this time off 4 balls, and had to go back to the pavilion without troubling the scorers. Shreyas Gopal caught him plumb with a wrong 'un.

Glenn Maxwell

Glenn Maxwell has failed to make any mark with the bat for RCB this season. The 35-year-old has only scored 32 runs in six innings, with a paltry average of 5.33 and a highest score of 28 runs. He has already scored three Ducks, which continues the misery in the RCB batting lineup.

After the early dismissals of Virat Kohli and Will Jack, there was a lot of expectation on Glenn Maxwell, but the Australian failed to live up to the expectations yet again. He hasn't been able to find his touch with the bat. Although Maxwell has contributed with four wickets with the ball, his batting is the most important role for him in the team.

With his latest duck, the RCB batter now has 17 ducks in IPL, which makes him the joint-most with Dinesh Karthik and Rohit Sharma.

As Maxwell failed to score again, the social media and the fans took a hilarious angle and trolled the veteran Australian.

Another brutal assessment of Maxwell's performance for RCB this season.

Maxwell has scored a duck in IPL 2024 thrice in six innings, which accumulates to 50 per cent of his innings so far.

Maxwell's solitary batting contribution came against Kolkata Knight Riders where he scored 28 off 19 balls.
