MI vs RCB: Virat Kohli was massively trolled by fans on Twitter (now X) after Mumbai Indians pacer Jasprit Bumrah dismissed him for three off nine balls in Match 25 of the IPL 2024 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday, April 11.
Bumrah dismissed the former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain for the fifth time in the IPL. The Mumbai pace spearhead came to bowl the third over, and bowled two dots straight up before bowling the third delivery came back in and took an inside edge before landing into the gloves of wicket-keeper Ishan Kishan.

This was Kohli's first single digit score in the IPL 2024. The 35-year-old, who is the leading run-scorer in the ongoing season, smashed a hundred against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in his last outing.
Regardless, fans mercilessly trolled the star batter for falling cheaply once again against Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah has now bowled 95 balls to Kohli for 140 runs in the IPL but dismissed him five times.
Virat Kohli has been RCB's standout batter in the IPL 2024, but other batters of the team stepped up after Kohli's rare failure. Captain Faf du Plessis brought up a 33-ball fifty - first of the season. Rajat Patidar also scored 50 off 26 balls.
Earlier, Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl first. RCB dropped Cameron Green and brought in Will Jack, who scored eight off six balls and was dismissed by Akash Madhwal. RCB were 149/4 in 16 overs when this article was published.
