MI vs RCB: Suryakumar Yadav was not named in the Mumbai Indians playing eleven in their match 25 of the IPL 2024 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday, April 11.
Notably, the star batter made his comeback from injury in Mumbai's last match against Delhi Capitals (DC). He got out for a duck in the match. Fans were left surprised after Suryakumar Yadav was not picked in the Mumbai Indians playing eleven against RCB.

Ravi Shastri later revealed that the 33-year-old was carrying a niggle and therefore named among five Impact Substitute options for the five-time champions. Leg-spinner Shreyas Gopal got a place in the MI eleven, while Piyush Chawla was dropped.
There is a high chance of Suryakumar Yadav coming out to bat against RCB in the match. The top-order has not been totally ruled out of the match, and fans can expect him to walk in as an Impact Substitute later in the match.
"I had two-three niggles together, sports hernia, ankle and then right knee. I had to take one step at a time, follow the small things and here I am, really happy to be on the ground," Suryakumar Yadav recently said in a video released by IPL.
The 33-year-old said it was 'boring' for him to follow the same routine during rehab work at the start but he decided to make the most of the opportunity.
"It's actually a little difficult to describe the last three (or) three-and-a-half months. It was difficult, the first two-three weeks, because I felt (it was) very boring doing the same things again and again (in) the rehab," he added.
Suryakumar Yadav's fitness is also crucial considering the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. The BCCI would want the Mumbai batter to be fit for the marquee event which will be held in the USA and the West Indies.
