MI vs RR: Will Suryakumar Yadav play today against Rajasthan Royals? The answer is still 'no'. The star batter is still undergoing rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, and is set to miss Mumbai's first game at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday, April 1.
Suryaukumar Yadav is out of action since the third T20I against South Africa in Johannesburg on December 14. The top-order hit a match-winning hundred in the match as India finished the 3-match series with a 1-1 draw. Unfortunately, the 33-year-old also injured his ankle in the same match.

The Mumbai batter underwent two separate surgeries later - ankle and sports hernia - and missed the home T20I series against Afghanistan in January. He was expected to make a comeback with the IPL 2024 but hasn't got fitness clearance from the NCA yet.
With the T20 World Cup 2024 approaching, the BCCI has taken Suryakumar Yadav's case in its own custody. The number one ranked T20I batter in the world is expected to play a key role in the marquee ICC event which starts from June 2.
Suryakumar Yadav has already missed the first two matches for Mumbai Indians. The five-time champions are badly feeling the absence of the right-hander. They are reeling at the bottom spot after losing their starting two matches under new captain Hardik Pandya.
Yadav's last Instagram post was with his wife Devisha on the occasion of holi. Earlier, he shared a video of him working out at the NCA to get back on the field. "Kaam Chalu has doston. Milte hai jaldi," he captioned the video.
Suryaukumar Yadav was Mumbai Indians' leading run-scorer in the IPL 2023. He scored 605 runs in 16 matches at an average of 43.21 and a strike rate of 181.13. He smashed one hundred and a total of five fifties to finish at the sixth highest run-scorer in the season which was won by Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
