In a dramatic twist during the MI vs SRH IPL 2025 clash on Thursday, 17th April, Mumbai Indians' Hardik Pandya found himself at the center of an almost comical sequence involving Sunrisers Hyderabad's explosive opener, Travis Head at the Wankhede Stadium.
The MI captain managed to dismiss Head not once-but twice-in the same over, only for both dismissals to not count.

The first came on the fourth ball of the 9th over, when Pandya delivered a full one on the stumps. Head whipped it off his pads straight into the hands of Will Jacks at deep mid-wicket. The MI camp erupted in celebration, thinking they had claimed the big wicket. Even Head began walking back. But then-siren blares. It was a no-ball, and the joy turned into disbelief. Head had to walk back to the crease, and Pandya had to reset.
On the very next free-hit delivery, Pandya banged in a short ball outside off. Head, looking to muscle it over long-on, only managed a toe-ended flat hit. Mitchell Santner completed a clean catch near the ropes-but again, it was off a free hit. So, for the second time in two balls, Hardik had Head "dismissed," and yet he remained unbeaten.
At the time of writing this article, SRH are now batting at 95/3 after 14 overs of play with Nitish Kumar Reddy and Heinrich Klassen at the crease.
After putting SRH to bat first, star batter Abhishek Sharma survived a number of times due to dropped catches before getting dismissed on 40 by captain Hardik Pandya. Travis Head later on was finally dismissed by Will Jacks, who also went onto take the wicket of Ishan Kishan as well.
