Mumbai Indians will look to do the double and stake their claim in the playoffs when they host Sunrisers Hyderabad in match 69 of the IPL 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on double-header Sunday (May 21) with the match set to start at 3:30 PM IST.
MI led by Rohit Sharma will look to bounce back from defeat to get back in the reckoning for the playoffs, while Aiden Markram's SRH will look to stop a three-match losing streak and end the season on a high.

MI opened their campaign with back-to-back defeats, but responded with 3 successive wins before going on another 2-match match losing streak. The record champions, however, have since won 4 of 6 matches, but their most recent result was defeat to Lucknow Super Giants.
SRH, meanwhile, opened their campaign with back-to-back defeats, but responded with two successive wins before going on another 3-match match losing streak. Sunrisers have since lost four of their last six matches with their most recent result being a defeat to Royal Challengers Bangalore.
MI are well and truly alive in the playoffs with 14 points, but need to beat SRH by a big margin to improve their Net Run Rate and finish in the top four. If either LSG or Chennai Super Kings lose their matches on Saturday (May 20), the five-time champions can qualify with just a win vs SRH.
SRH is out of playoff contention, having registered just 8 points from 13 matches and can only spoil MI's chances with a victory at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday (May 21) afternoon.
This will be the second meeting between MI and SRH this season. In the reverse fixture that took place in Hyderabad last month, MI rode on Cameron Green's fifty to set a target of 193 before an all-round bowling performance restricted SRH to 178, sealing a 14-run win.
The two sides will now clash at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, where several players including MI skipper Rohit Sharma and SRH's T Natarajan, have a chance to reach milestones or break records.
► T Natarajan (Sunrisers Hyderabad) is 2 wickets away from completing 50 wickets in IPL. The pacer is also 4 wickets away from completing 50 wickets for SRH in IPL.
▶ Rohit Sharma (Mumbai Indians) is 2 catches away from becoming the fourth player to take 100 catches as a fielder in IPL. The skipper is also 40 runs away from completing 11000 runs in T20 Cricket (overall). He is also 34 runs away from completing 5000 runs for MI in IPL.
► Piyush Chawla (Mumbai Indians) is 4 wickets away from completing 300 wickets in T20 Cricket (overall).
► Ishan Kishan (Mumbai Indians) is 24 runs away from completing 2000 runs for MI in IPL.
► Bhuvneshwar Kumar (Sunrisers Hyderabad) is 5 wickets away from completing 150 wickets for SRH in IPL.
