MI-W vs RCB-W Dream11 prediction WPL 2023: Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bangalore: A buoyant Mumbai Indians side will be taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the WPL on Monday (March 6) at the Brabourne Stadium.
Mumbai Indians (MI-W) started off their WPL journey with an emphatic win over Gujarat Giants in the opening match of the WPL, while Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB-W) suffered a sad defeat in the hands of Delhi Capitals.
It will be a huge affair between to familiar foes of IPL, who will be hoping to continue their rivalry in the women's format. It will also be a duel between team India's two elite superstars as RCB-W captain Smriti Mandhana and MI-W captain Harmanpreet Kaur will lock horns against each other.
Mumbai Indians squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Nat Sciver, Amelia Kerr, Pooja Vastrakar, Yastika Bhatia, Heather Graham, Isabelle Wong, Amanjot Kaur, Dhara Gujjar, Saika Ishaque, Hayley Mathews, Chloe Tryon, Humairaa Kaazi, Priyanka Bala, Sonam Yadav, Jintimani Kalita, Neelam Bisht
Royal Challengers Bangalore squad: Smriti Mandhana (C), Sophie Devine, Heather Knight, Disha Kasat, Ellyse Perry, Richa Ghosh, Kanika Ahuja, Asha Shobana, Preeti Bose, Megan Schutt, Renuka Singh, Dane van Niekerk, Erin Burns, Komal Zanzad, Shreyanka Patil, Sahana Pawar, Poonam Khemnar, Indrani Roy
Mumbai Indians have already shown their firepower with both bat and ball while Royal Challengers Bangalore were guilty of giving away too many runs in their last match.
MI-W showed a blistering batting display in the last match as Hayley Matthews, Harmanpreet Kaur and Amelia Kerr caused havoc against the Giants. Against RCB-W, they would be hoping to keep the template the same and work on their strength. They have a fully fit squad as they take on the Bangalore women.
With an elite batting lineup that they have, MI-W can be a force going forward in this WPL.
Mumbai were clinical with their bowling as well in the last match. Issy Wong and Nat Sciver-Brunt were outstanding with the ball but the real surprise was Saika Ishaque. The Indian left-arm spinner picked up 4 wickets in the match and showed amazing skill and control on her debut against a decent Gujarat unit.
Harmanpreet will be banking a lot on Ishaque while would expect their bowlers to show the same accuracy and discipline in the RCB match as well. Apart from that, MI also have the likes of Pooja Vastrakar, Amelia Kerr who are known for their bowling as well.
RCB-W will be aiming to come back strong in their second game after a losing start to their campaign.
RCB-W captain Smriti Mandhana will be expecting a lot better bowling display on Monday against Mumbai Indians. In the last match, Meg Lanning and Shafali Verma completely decimated them and the RCB bowlers had no answers to that. Five of the seven bowlers that they used conceded at a rate of more than 9 runs per over as Megan Schutt (11.2), Heather Knight (13.3)m Sophie Devine (20) all were thumped by the Delhi duo.
They will have to rectify the mistakes as they need a stronger bowling display against a strong MI-W batting lineup.
In terms of team selection, there may be a change as Dane van Niekerk can come in for Sophie Devine. The South African is a decent player and RCB can try her out against Mumbai Indians.
RCB can also bring in young Indian pacer Komal Zanzad in the team in place of someone like Preeti Bose, who was mostly ineffective in the last match.

The Brabourne Stadium's pitch has been a belter so far in this WPL. In the first match on Sunday, 386 runs were scored in 40 overs and the top was perfect for batting. It will be pretty much the same on Monday as batters can expect to play through their lines. Winning the toss and batting will be the perfect decision as pitch may slow down a bit at latter stages.
