Melbourne, Aug 3 : Aussie cricketer Michael Clarke is the new ambassador for Bonds, but he was too shy to model any of their underwear.

A host of fans were disappointed when he made his debut catwalk for the underwear brand on July 30 night in Sydney, as many had expected the sports star to drop down to his jocks as he does in the new ads.

But it wasn't the case, as Clarke chose to model a T-shirt and hoodie instead, leaving the underwear to the models.

The cricketer shied away from walking the ramp in his undies despite the pep talk he got from his Australian model fiancee, Lara Bingle.

"Put your shoulders back and give it your best Blue Steel (model stare)," the Herald Sun quoted Bingle as saying.
