Mumbai, Sept 24 (UNI) Former Mumbai Ranji batsman Milind Rege will represent the Cricket Club of India (CCI) at the BCCI Annual General Body meeting (AGM) to be held here on September 27-28.
Vice President of CCI Badal Mittal, who is now standing for the post of President of the CCI, during an election campaign interaction with reporters here said, ''Rege, being the cricket sub-committee chairman of the club, will be attending the Indian cricket board AGM on behalf of the club''.
Until, now the president of CCI Raj Singh Dungapur used to attend the Board of control for Cricket in India (BCCI) annual general body meetings.
Mr Mittal said in case Milind Rege is not able to attend the board AGM then Srikant Rupale will represent the club.
Incidentally, the AGM of CCI is also slated for the same period, where Badal Mittal is fighting against Y P Trivedi for the post of President, after Raj Singh Dungarpur declined to hold the post, due to his failing health.
