MLC 2023: Haris Rauf and Anrch Nortje in intense battle for fastest delivery in Major League Cricket

MLC 2023: San Francisco Unicorns' (SFU) Pakistan speedster Haris Rauf and Washington Freedom's (WAF) South Africa pacer Anrich Nortje have gotten into a competition to bowl the fastest delivery in the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC) 2023.

The two guns fast bowlers have already bowled the top five fastest deliveries of the inaugural edition. Speed merchants Rauf and Nortje have picked just two and one wicket respectively, but they have sizzled with their pace in the US.

Haris Rauf currently holds the record for the fastest delivery in Major League Cricket. He bowled a 150.1 km/h delivery against Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR) on Wednesday, July 19.

The 29-year-old has also bowled the second-fastest delivery in MLC 2023. Rauf's second-fastest delivery clocked 149.6 km/h on the speedometer. The fifth fastest delivery of the season has also been bowled by him at a speed of 148.6 km/h.

Anrich Nortje's 149.2 and 148.7 km/h deliveries for Washington are third and the fourth fastest respectively. There are not many apart from Kagiso Rabada who can bowl at this pace in the MLC 2023 and therefore the 'Battle of Speed' between the two is expected to intensify between the two in the upcoming days.
