The 2nd season of the Major League Cricket is entering its business stage as three teams have qualified for the playoffs.
Washington Freedom and San Francisco Unicorns have qualified for the playoffs and have the top two places sorted. They will now play in the Qualifier 1. Texas Super Kings have also managed to get to the playoffs.

Out of the Six teams, four teams are to advance to the playoffs. Seattle Orcas are already eliminated, and now Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR) and MI New York (MINY) will fight out for the solitary remaining spot.
Los Angeles Knight Riders are currently placed 4th in the table with 5 points in six matches. MI New York are 5th in the table with 3 points in six matches.
It will be a direct battle between LAKR and MINY as they take on each other in their final group stage match on Monday (July 22). New York has the Net Run Rate (NRR) of -0.851, while LAKR currently has an NRR of -0.569.
A win for the LA Knight Riders ensures their qualification to the playoffs. If the Knight Riders lost to MI New York, they can't lose by a margin of more than 10 runs.
If MI New York bat first and score 200 runs, MI New York will have to win the match by a margin of more than 10 runs to get past LAKR's net run rate. After bowling out LAKR for 130 runs, MI New York will have to chase down the target within 18.2 overs to qualify for MLC playoffs.
