Hyderabad, Sept 11: Ayazuddin has died in Apollo hospital. Updated 12:50PM

Former Indian skipper Mohammed Azharuddin's son, 19 year old Ayazzuddin is in an extreme critical condition after being involved in a motorcycle accident in Hyderabad. The update was given by Apollo hospital doctors who are treating Ayazuddin and his cousin. Ayazuddin is in a grievous state and is on ventilator support. The incident occured near the Hyderabad International airport when he was racing with his cousin Afzal when the incident happened. [Read: Azharuddin rushes to Hyd to visit son injured in accident]

Ayazuddin was rushed to the Apollo hospital following the incident for treatment. Ayazuddin was riding a sports bike and the accident occured at 6:30AM on Sunday (Sept 11). It is beleived that he suffered from deep head injuries in spite of the fact that he was wearing a helmet. Initial reports suggest that the bike he was riding slipped at the Puppalguda area near the Outer Ring Road of Ranga Reddy district.

Ayazuddin was the son of Naureen, Azharuddin's first wife. He is the second of the two sons. Azharuddin is presently in London and will fly back to Hyderabad on hearing the tragic news.

Ayazuddin was an upcoming cricketer and have often been seen practicing the game with his father, Mohammed Azharuddin. The tragic news has led to the untimely death of a budding cricketer who had inherited the talent from his famous father.
