Mohammed Siraj Completes 200 T20 Wickets During IPL 2026 Clash Against KKR

Gujarat Titans pacer Mohammed Siraj added another milestone to his career on Friday after completing 200 wickets in T20 cricket during IPL 2026 Match 60 against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens.

The Indian fast bowler reached the landmark with the wicket of KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane, becoming the 21st Indian bowler to register 200 wickets in the shortest format.

Siraj struck in the fifth over of the innings with a fuller inswinging delivery that breached Rahane's defence and crashed into the stumps. It also continued Siraj's strong record against the veteran batter in the IPL.

The dismissal marked the third time Siraj has removed Rahane in IPL meetings, with the KKR captain averaging just 8.33 against him at a strike rate of 64.1.

The milestone further underlined Siraj's rise as one of India's leading fast bowlers across formats over the last few years.

A majority of his T20 wickets have come in franchise cricket, particularly in the Indian Premier League, where he has represented Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and now Gujarat Titans. He has also contributed regularly for India in T20 internationals.

Siraj reached the 200-wicket mark in his 174th T20 appearance.

According to ESPNcricinfo statistics, the right-arm pacer now has 200 wickets in T20 cricket at an average above 25 and an economy rate slightly over eight runs per over. He also has six four-wicket hauls in the format.

In the IPL alone, Siraj has picked up 123 wickets in 121 matches with three four-wicket hauls to his name.

For India in T20Is, the fast bowler has claimed 17 wickets, including one four-wicket haul.

Siraj's achievement comes amid another strong IPL campaign where he has continued to play a key role in Gujarat Titans' pace attack as they push towards the playoffs.
