India pacer Mohammed Siraj has been dethroned from the summit spot as South Africa's Keshav Maharaj has replaced him as the new no. 1 ODI bowler in the latest ICC rankings.
Mohammed Siraj earlier replaced Pakistan's Shaheen Afridi at the summit of ICC ODI Bowlers rankings, but now the Proteas player claims the top spot. Maharaj has 726 rating points, compared to Siraj's 723.

Two other India bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav have also elevated their positions in the rankings, claiming 4th and 5th position respectively.
It has been an excellent World Cup 2023 campaign for Maharaj, who has claimed 14 wickets so far in the tournament. On the other hand, Siraj has 12 wickets to his name till the end of group stages.
In terms of the batters, India stalwart Virat Kohli has slipped to no. 4 in the latest edition. South Africa's Quinton de Kock has replaced Kohli in the 3rd spot. Shubman Gill remains the no. 1 batter, followed by Pakistan captain Babar Azam. India captain Rohit Sharma holds onto his 10th spot in the latest rankings.
Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul have also made significant improvements in the latest edition. The former currently ranks 13, whereas Rahul is now placed 18th. The duo scored hundreds each in India's final group stage match against the Netherlands.
India take on New Zealand in the semifinal on Wednesday at the Wankhede Stadium. Australia and South Africa are the other semifinalists and they play on Thursday in Kolkata. The final of the World Cup 2023 will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
