Dhaka, June 15: With the one-off India-Bangladesh Test ending in a draw yesterday due to rain on all 5 days, the same situation is likely to repeat in the 3-match ODI series that starts on June 18 (Thursday) in Dhaka.
According to latest reports today, there has been heavy rain in the Bangladesh capital and the forecast is not good for the next 3 days and till June 24 when the last match is to be played. All games (day/night) will be played in Mirpur at Shere Bangla Stadium.
On Monday morning, host broadcaster "Star Sports" commentator Harsha Bhogle tweeted that it was "bucketing down" in Dhaka.
"Needless to say, it is bucketing down in Dhaka," Bhogle wrote on his Twitter page on Monday morning.
It is monsoon season in Bangladesh now and for the first time in the country's history, a Test match was played in the month of June. And as expected there was no result due to showers.
All 3 India-Bangladesh ODIs, however, have reserve days. But still we might see shortened games instead of full 50-over contests.
Needless to say, it is bucketing down in Dhaka......
