Delhi Capitals (DC) equalled an unwanted record following the 12-run defeat to Mumbai Indians (MI) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday (April 13).
DC, who opened the season with four wins on the trot, folded for 193 in 19 overs in the run chase of 206 against MI to suffer their first defeat of the season. Axar Patel's side had registered wins in Vizag, Bengaluru and Chennai, but suffered their first defeat at their home venue.

The Delhi-based side were well on course to their fifth straight win after Karun Nair's explosive knock, but a collapse which concluded with a hattrick of run outs saw Mumbai Indians claim an unexpected win.
With this loss, DC drew level with Royal Challengers Bengaluru for most defeats in a venue in IPL. RCB had achieved the unwanted feat earlier last week when they went down to DC at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. However, they soon had company in the form of DC. Here is a look at the current active teams loss record at their home ground:
Note: This data and record is for games played at one particular home venue. Teams like DC and PBKS have used other grounds as well as their home venues. If that also is taken into consideration, other teams will lead the list for most IPL home defeats.
