Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) set an unwanted record recently after their second successive loss at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season.
While they have looked unstoppable away from home, with three big wins against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as well as five-time champion teams Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI), RCB has registered two back-to-back losses in Bengaluru after posting totals in the 160s.

On Thursday (April 10) night, local lad KL Rahul returned to where it all started for him and haunted his former side, guiding Delhi Capitals (DC) to a 6-wicket victory with an unbeaten 93 off 53 balls, a knock that powered his team to the target of 164 with 13 balls to spare.
This marked RCB's 45th loss in IPL at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, the most by a team at a venue and also happens to be most by a team at their home venue in Indian Premier league. Their win-loss ratio in Bengaluru is 0.977.
Second is DC, who have lost 44 matches at Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium, with a win-loss ratio of 0.840. The third spot belongs to defending champions KKR, who have lost 38 matches at Eden Gardens, with a win-loss ratio of 1.394. Here is a look at the cuurent active teams with most defeats at their home ground:
Note: This data and record is for games played at one particular home venue. Teams like DC and PBKS have used other grounds as well as their home venues. If that also is taken into consideration, other teams will lead the list for most IPL home defeats.
