Jasprit Bumrah followed in Mumbai Indians legend Lasith Malinga's footsteps as the Indian pacer on Friday (May 3) went on to become the second player in Indian Premier League (IPL) history to take 50 wickets or more at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Bumrah, who made his debut in 2013, achieved the feat with a record-extending three-wicket haul against Kolkata Knight Riders. The 30-year-old dismissed Venkatesh Iyer, Ramandeep Singh and Mitchell Starc, but could not save his side from a 24-run loss.

With figures of 3 for 18, Bumrah became the fifth player to claim 50 or more wickets at a single venue in IPL. Apart from Malinga and Bumrah, the leading IPL wicket-taker Yuzvendra Chahal also features on the list. Here is a look at the top 10:
Apart from that milestone, Bumrah also extended the record for most three-wicket hauls in IPL history with his spell of 3 for 18 in 4 overs. Bumrah leads the pack with an impressive 23 hauls of three wickets in just 131 innings.
