Former West Indies all-rounder Sunil Narine drew level in sixth with Ravindra Jadeja, Yusuf Pathan and Shane Watson on the all-time player of the match award winners list in Indian Premier League (IPL) history.
Narine achieved the feat following an all-round display for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the ongoing IPL 2025 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday (April 11).

After his bowling spell of 3 for 13 in 4 overs helped restrict CSK to their lowest total at home - 103/9, Narine returned to take the attack on with the bat, scrong 44 off 17 balls as KKR chased down the target with 9.5 overs and 8 wickets to spare.
This performance saw Narine bag his 16th man of the match award, joining the likes of Jadeja, Pathan and Watson in the sixth position for most man of the match awards in IPL. The West Indies spin legend is now only behind the likes of AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle and other IPL stalwarts on the list.
On Thursday (April 10), Delhi Capitals' Indian wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul also made big strides in the all-time list with back-to-back player of the match awards in the current season. Rahul produced two match-winning performances against CSK and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
As mentioned earlier, former RCB stars De Villiers and Gayle top the list with 20 plus MOTM awards in IPL followed by the Indian greats Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. Here is a look at the players with 10 or more player of the match awards:
