Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star batter Virat Kohli continued his record-breaking spree in the Indian Premier League by surpassing former Australian opener David Warner's tally for most runs against a team in IPL history.
The 36-year-old achieved the feat with his seventh fifty of the campaign during RCB's IPL 2025 outing against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday (May 3). Kohli smashed a 33-ball 62 to power RCB to their eighth win of the ongoing season.

Kohli's latest half century marked his 10th 50-plus score against CSK, the highest by any player in IPL history. He breezed past the iconic opening trio of Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma and David Warner, who boast nine 50-plus scores each against the Super Kings.
With another story of dominance against the Super Kings, Kohli now boasts 1,146 runs against the Chennai-based side in the IPL, the highest by any player against a team, surpassing Warner's 1,134 runs against Punjab Kings.
Kohli also holds the third and fourth positon on the batters with most runs against a single IPL team, a chart which also includes the likes of Warner, Rohit and Dhawan. Here is a look at the top 10 most runs against a single opponent in IPL:
