In the Indian Premier League (IPL), the bowlers are getting more devalued as the years progress.
The grounds have become shorter, pitches have become more batting-friendly and the bowlers now often find themselves in trouble.

In this list, we shall take a look at the bowlers who have historically conceded the most runs in an IPL season. Historically, 15 bowlers have given away more than 500 runs in a solitary IPL season.
The most runs conceded by a bowler in a single season is Chennai Super Kings pacer Tushar Deshpande, who conceded 564 runs in the IPL last year. The CSK pacer played all 16 matches for his team (14 in Group Stages and 2 Playoff Matches) and conceded runs at 9.92 runs per over, thus accumulating that gigantic number of runs.
Apart from Deshpande, Gujarat Titans spinner Rashid Khan is just 2nd as the Afghan conceded 552 runs last season, playing 17 matches for the Titans.
In this ongoing IPL 2024, Delhi Capitals pacer Khaleel Ahmed has conceded the most runs so far with 379 runs in 11 innings, followed by SRH pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar who has given away 377 runs.
