Most Runs in IPL 2024 Powerplay: Travis Head to Sunil Narine - Who Has Scored Most Runs in First Six Overs?

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has dominated the run-scoring charts when it comes to totals in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 thanks to their openers' swift starts inside the powerplay of each innings.

SRH has registered totals above 260 three times this season with the latest effort seeing the team break the record for highest score in powerplay in IPL history and the T20 format overall as they piled on 125 against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Most runs scored in IPL 2024 powerplay

The major factor behind SRH's dominance in the powerplay has been the Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma partnership. The duo in fact scored those 125 runs unbeaten in the first six over on Saturday (April 20) against DC, and have also shared more swift stands during the season.

With the knock of 84 inside the powerplay, Head just fell short of the highest individual score by a batter in T20 cricket or IPL, but the Australian opener ran away with the lead for most runs scored in the ongoing season.

Mumbai Indians' Rohit Sharma, Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Virat Kohli, Kolkata Knight Riders' Sunil Narine and Head's opening partner at SRH Abhishek Sharma also feature in the top 5 for most runs in IPL 2024 powerplay. Here is a look at the most runs scored by a batter inside first 6 overs list:
