Most Runs in IPL 2025: Mitchell Marsh's lead in the Purple Cap race was short-lived as Nicholas Pooran slammed an entertaining 36-ball 87 not out against KKR in Kolkata on April 8 to retake the lead in the top run-scorers list. Also read: IPL Points Table | Most Wickets | Most Sixes
The knock came after Mitchell Marsh slammed 81 to surpass his teammate for the first time in what has now become a civil war for LSG. Meanwhile, KKR's captain Ajinkya Rahane entered the top five following a knock of 61 for the losing cause in the same game.
In the other game of the evening, Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer, who was at the 8th spot, could only score 9 runs on the day but the effort was enough to push him to the sixth spot. This was soon followed by a stunning record century by rookie Priyansh Arya, who entered the top 10 with the effort.
