Most Runs in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024: As the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 tournament has concluded its group stages, there have been some excellent performances with the bat.

A number of top Indian players have represented their respective states in the tournament and Tilak Varma remains the brightest star. He has scored 327 runs at the end of the group stages.

Bihar's Sakibul Gani is a surprised 2nd player on the list with 326 runs in six matches, while Harvik Desai has impressed for Saurashtra, compiling 305 runs with his fearless approach that has kept the opposition under pressure. Bengal duo Abishek Porel and Karan Lal have done extremely well so far in the SMAT.

Urvil Patel is another name that impressed me with the bat. The Gujarat player has amassed 282 runs so far in the domestic T20 tournament. Punjab all-rounder Abhishek Sharma has also paced himself in the leading run-scorer race and is currently among the top 10 players on the list. India star Shreyas Iyer, Rajat Patidar are also sitting at the high end of the list.

The teams are playing their final group stage matches today (December 5) and from here, 10 teams will be advancing to the knockout stages. All of the knockout stage matches including the final will be played in Bengaluru.
