Most Runs In WTC 2023-25: The second day of the World Test Championship Final at Lord's was once again a paradise for seam bowlers, with 13 of the 14 wickets falling to pace.
Australia ended the day at 144/8 in their second innings, holding a 218-run lead over South Africa in a low-scoring but gripping contest.

Australian captain Pat Cummins was the standout performer. He completed a brilliant six-wicket haul, finishing with 6/28, and in the process, reached the milestone of 300 Test wickets-becoming the eighth Australian and 40th bowler overall to do so. Cummins also became the fifth-fastest in history to reach the landmark, achieving it in 13,725 deliveries.
South Africa, who started the day at 73/6, were bowled out for just 138 as Cummins ran through the lower order. Australia's lead of 74 looked handy, but the Proteas fought back hard with the ball.
Kagiso Rabada, who had claimed five wickets in the first innings, continued his fiery spell by removing Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green early in the second innings, taking his match tally to eight. Lungi Ngidi then dismissed Steve Smith, Beau Webster, and Cummins to dent Australia further. Alex Carey resisted with a gritty 43 before falling to Rabada, while Marco Jansen dropped a late chance to remove Mitchell Starc.
With the match finely poised, and the surface continuing to challenge batters, Day 3 promises more drama in this see-saw WTC final.
