Most sixes in 2024: In a World Cup year, it's been an intense battle of sixes in the T20 format as Heinrich Klaasen, Andre Russell and Nicholas Pooran continue their carnage in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
The trio have been locked in a race for most sixes in 2024 in the shortest fomat, having struck close to 150 maximums together in T20 cricket across the international and leagues around the world.

South Africa's Klaasen has led the West Indies duo after smashing 17 sixes in the three IPL 2024 matches for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The SRH batter, however, did not hit a six in the next few matches.
Russell, who has bolted back in West Indies plans for the T20 World Cup 2024 in USA and Caribbean later this year, continued to put on dominating show in his first IPL 2024, smashing six maximums against SRH.
Although he struck only four sixes in his IPL 2024 opener for Lucknow Super Giants, Pooran claimed the lead from Klaasen with maximums in the next few games. New Zealand's Finn Allen and Ryan Rickelton make up the current top five.
But this battle for sixes is set to get even more intense with a lot of T20 action, including more than 50 matches in the IPL left to play before the month-long T20 World Cup in June. Here is a look at the players with most sixes in T20 cricket in 2024.
The list also includes former West Indies skipper Kieron Pollard, who is the current coach of Mumbai Indians. Australia and Mumbai Indians batter Tim David is also in the top alongside England and Royal Challengers Bengaluru all-rounder Will Jacks.
England's Alex Hales and South Africa's Rassie van der Dussen, who were part of the bygone Pakistan Super League (PSL) make up the top 10. The duo had also played in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and SA20 leagues.
