Which team has hit Most sixes in single edition of ODI World Cup: South Africa broke the record for most maximums hit by a team in a single tournament during the ICC World Cup 2023 match against New Zealand at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
The Proteas surpassed the previous record held by England by smashing 15 maximums in their 2023 World Cup clash against New Zealand on Wednesday (November 1) to take their tally to 82 sixes with at least three more games left to play in the tournament.

England held the record with 76 sixes in the 2019 World Cup at home. While England took 11 innings to get to the mark, South Africa cleared it in just its seventh innings. Before England achieved the feat, West Indies owned the record with 68 sixes in 2015 World Cup.
