The five teams competing in the season are Mumbai Indians women, Royal Challengers Bangalore women, UP Warriorz, Delhi Capitals women, and Gujarat Giants.
The matches are being played at two venues in Mumbai at DY Patil Stadium and Brabourne Stadium in a double round-robin format (where all teams face each other twice) in a total of 22 matches. The league stages consist of 19 matches, after which the top three teams will enter the playoffs with the top two playing Qualifier 1 followed by the loser facing the league's third runners-up in Qualifier 2.
