Mumbai Indians (MI) and India star pacer Jasprit Bumrah drew level in second with Lasith Malinga for most wickets for single team in Indian Premier League (IPL) history with his 300th scalp in T20 cricket.
Bumrah reached this milestone during Mumbai Indians' 7-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday (April 23) night.

During the SRH vs MI match, Bumrah finished with figures of 1/39 in four overs. He also got the wicket of Heinrich Klaasen, who had performed a remarkable rescue act for SRH. In five matches in the IPL 2025 so far, Bumrah has taken five wickets at an average of 31.60, with best figures of 2/25.
The 31-year-old Indian pacer drew level with Sri Lankan legend Lasith Malinga, to become the joint-highest wicket-taker for Mumbai Indians (MI) with 170 wickets each. Bumrah once looked up to Malinga, but has now draw level with the former Sri Lanka pacer, who currently serves as the MI fast bowling coach.
Bumrah is now the joint eighth-highest wicket-taker in IPL history, and is only behind veteran spinner Sunil Narine for most wickets by a player for a single franchise in the Indian Premier League, having claimed 170 scalps in 138 matches at an average of 22.78, with best figures of 5/10.
Apart from Narine, Malinga and Bumrah, the elusive list also features the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Dwayne Bravo and Yuzvendra Chahal among others who have played for a single team for more than five seasons. Here is a look at the list:
With the solitary scalp against SRH, Bumrah became only the fourth Indian bowler to complete 300 wickets in the shortest format, reaching the milestone in 238 matches, with best figures of 5/10.
Bumrah has now joined Ravichandran Ashwin (315 wickets in 331 matches), Bhuvneshwar Kumar (318 wickets in 302 matches) and Yuzvendra Chahal (373 scalps) in an elite company of Indian bowlers who have taken 300 wickets in the shortest format.
