Most Wins Against a Team in Indian Premier League: KKR Achieve First-Time Feat With Victory Over SRH in IPL 2025

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Thursday (April 3) scripted history by becoming the first team in Indian Premier League to register 20-plus wins against three different teams following their comprehensive victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the ongoing IPL 2025.

Coming into the game on the back of a lowly display against Mumbai Indians in their previous encounter, KKR bounced back with an all-round display against SRH at the Eden Gardens. The Knight Riders handed Pat Cummins-led side an emphatic 80-run loss.

With this result, the defending champions became the first team to secure 20 or more wins against three different sides. Before conquering Sunrisers Hyderabad, KKR had got the number on Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings.

While they have registered 20 wins each against RCB and SRH, KKR has also stood victorious a whopping 21 times against PBKS in the cash-rich league. Only Mumbai Indians come close to them in this feat with the five-time champions registering 20 plus win over Chennai Super Kings and KKR.

Coming back to the match at the Eden Gardens, KKR successfully defended 200 in Kolkata on Thursday (April 3) by bundling out SRH for 120. With this result, KKR leapfrogged to fifth with two wins and two defeats, while SRH are at the bottom with a win and three losses.
