MS Dhoni arrives in Chennai for L.G.M Trailer and Audio Launch - Watch

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has arrived in Chennai along with wife Sakshi for the trailer and audio launch of Dhoni Entertaiment's maiden production venture in the form of a tamil movie - L.G.M - short for Let's Get Married.

This is Dhoni's first visit to Chennai since winning the record-equaling fifth IPL title with Chennai Super Kings in May 2023. Dhoni-led CSK defeated Gujarat Titans in the final to clinch the title on May 29.

Dhoni and Sakshi are in Chennai for the trailer and audio launch event which will be held on Monday (July 10). L.G.M is a romantic-comedy that will see veteran actor Nadiya in lead with comedian Yogi Babu also playing a pivotal role.

"Time for Chennai to embrace the 'Dhoni' mania as Thala is visiting Chennai for the first time since winning an esteemed T20 league this year. Mrs. & Mr. Dhoni will be launching the audio and trailer of Dhoni Entertainment's maiden production "L.G.M." in Chennai," a statement said.

"The expectations have been high for L.G.M., as the film's teaser and the first single have garnered phenomenal response. While Harish Kalyan, Ivana and Nadiya are appearing in titular roles, Yogi Babu, Mirchi Vijay and many prominent actors will be seen as a part of this talented star cast.

"L.G.M, a Family Entertainer, is written and directed by Ramesh Thamilmani, who is also the music composer." The film teaser was released in June by the Twitter handle of Dhoni Entertaiment:

Earlier, talking about LGM, Sakshi Dhoni had said, "We look forward to being here and doing more such meaningful stories. We are excited to start this fascinating journey today. I assure you that this fun-filled film will be one that the entire family can enjoy."

Dhoni, who is likely to play another season of IPL, underwent surgery for his troublesome knee just days after the IPL 2023 and is currently recovering to be fit in time for the next edition of IPL.
