A moment of India's utter glory was cheered and celebrated by the 140 crore Indians in the country and many around the globe. Team India won their 2nd T20 World Cup title with a victory over South Africa in the Final on Saturday (June 29).
And amid all the congratulatory messages, former India captain MS Dhoni's heartfelt message will hold a special place.

It was under MS Dhoni's leadership when India last won an ICC trophy in 2013. Dhoni was also the captain when India won the T20 World Cup title in 2007. And as the 17-year-long wait ended, the former India captain expressed his joy and relief with a social media post.
The captain cool said even his heart was pumping a bit faster during the latter stages of the match. He also thanked the Indian team for a priceless birthday gift as Dhoni is turning 43 on July 7.
"WORLD CUP CHAMPIONS 2024.My heart rate was up,well done on being calm, having the self belief and doing what u guys did. From all the Indians back home and everywhere in the world a big thank you for bringing the World Cup Home. CONGRATULATIONS. arreeee thanks for the priceless birthday gift," Dhoni wrote on his Instagram profile with a picture of India lifting the trophy in Barbados.
