Mahendra Singh Dhoni swapped cricket field for football field as the former Indian cricket team captain was spotted watching American Football action in the United States of America during vacation with some of his close friends.
Dhoni, who last played in the IPL 2024, has been busy holidaying with his friends and family since the completion of the T20 tournament. The Chennai Super Kings veteran wicketkeeper-batter has kept himself busy away from the game.

In a video that included a slideshow of images posted by his friend Hitesh Sanghvi on Instagram, Dhoni was seen enjoying some quality time with his friends in Michigan, where they watch a NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) game.
"Fun trip to michigan for American football and back.......with these amazing people," Sanghvi posted on Instagram along with a video of the images of his friends group, featuring MS Dhoni.
Coming back to what's next for the stalwart in the cricket field, the legendary wicketkeeper-batter is expected to continue playing for CSK as multiple reports claim that the franchise will retain him ahead of the 2025 season.
CSK has revealed that they are waiting on the BCCI's retention rules, but will be keen on retaining the services of their most successful captain, who has led them to five IPL trophies.
There have been reports that the players who retired more than four years ago may be considered uncapped but the BCCI has not confirmed anything officially regarding the same nor have they made any announcements on the retention rules.
Reports claim that the BCCI may allow franchises to retain three with an option for two Right to Match (RTM) cards. However, franchises are still divided regarding this matter as some teams like CSK would prefer to retain more players.
CSK will hope BCCI bring back an old rule as Dhoni could be categorised as an "uncapped player" due to his international retirement. The veteran wicketkeeper himself, however, hashas expressed that he will wait before deciding if he wants to continue playing.
"There is a lot of time for it. We have to see what decision they take on player retention etc. Right now, the ball is not in our court. So, once the rules and regulations get formalised, I will take a call, but needs to be in the best interest of the team," Dhoni had said at a promotional event in Hyderabad earlier this year.
