MS Dhoni's New Look: CSK star's new hairstyle breaks the internet a day after India qualify for T20 World Cup final

MS Dhoni's New Look: The new hairstyle of former India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni broke the internet on Friday June 28, a day after India qualified for the final of T20 World Cup 2024.

Celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim shared pictures of MS Dhoni in his new hairstyle on his Instagram handle, sending the fans of the decorated captain in a frenzy.

"Man is aging in reverse. Thala for a reason," an MS Dhoni fan commented. "Mahi bhai ab under 19 khelne ka plan hai kya," another one wrote.

Dhoni has got his vintage long hair chopped from the back. However, the long and wavy hair is still in the front. In the picture, Dhoni can be seen donning a black t-shirt complementing his uber-cool hairstyle. Have a look.

MS Dhoni had brought back his vintage long-hair look ahead of the IPL 2024 edition. Dhoni had sported the look early in his cricket career when he made his India debut in December 2005. He lifted the inaugural T20 World Cup trophy in the same hairstyle.

The 42-year-old later stuck to short and slick hairstyles for over a decade before deciding to get back to his vintage look. Fans had related the hairstyle to MS Dhoni's retirement with the IPL 2024 season.

However, the Ranchi-born wicketkeeper-batter, who would be celebrating his 43rd birthday in July, is yet to make an official announcement. Possibility of MS Dhoni playing in IPL 2025 has not been ruled out.

"As all of you know, he has always taken his decisions and announced them at the appropriate time. We do expect that we will get a decision as and when he decides," CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said in May.

"But we are very, very hopeful that he will be available for CSK the next year. That is the view and expectations of the fans and mine," he added.
