In our life, some places become so familiar to us even if we were not born and brought up there.
Through work, education or other means - some far away places become very close to heart, where we feel home despite being thousands of miles away.

In the life of sportspersons, this emotional connection with a so-called new place is not uncommon. Although it is a bit hard for cricket, football has plenty of examples.
But courtesy of franchise cricket, the players now get to spend a lot of time with different cities, where they adopt the culture, fall in love with the people and feel the place as their own.
In the case of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the place is definitely Chennai. The Ranchi boy has been a mainstay for Chennai Super Kings over the last 16 years, and is the heartbeat of the entire Chennai people during the IPL seasons.
And recently, the ever-calm MS Dhoni revealed his love for Chennai in an emotional speech. Dhoni, along with wife Sakshi, was present at the trailer launch of the Tamil film Let's Get Married (LGM), which the CSK captain is producing.
During the event, the former Indian captain spoke about his deep love for the city of Chennai, which has been an inseparable part of his life for the last decade and a half.
Interestingly, Dhoni made his Test debut in Chennai and citing those memories, the CSK captain opened up on how the 'Detroit of Asia' has adopted him over the years.
"My Test debut was in Chennai, My highest Test score was in Chennai, now my first production movie in Tamil - Chennai is more special to me, I was adopted here long back," Dhoni said in the LGM movie trailer launch event.
Dhoni gave the city of Chennai and the whole Tamil Nadu another gift as they lifted the IPL 2023 and became jointly the most successful team in the Indian Premier League.
The 42-year-old garnered insurmountable love across the country and looks set to don the yellow jersey again next year.
