LSG vs CSK: In a high-octane clash at Chepauk, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) registered a thrilling 5-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 30 of IPL 2025.

The night belonged to MS Dhoni, who not only finished the game in vintage style but also broke two significant IPL records, adding another golden chapter to his legendary career.

CSK Opt to Bowl First - LSG Post 166/7

After winning the toss, CSK captain Dhoni opted to bowl first on a wicket that offered something for both batters and bowlers. However, a middle-over collapse triggered by Ravi Bishnoi (2/18) and Digvesh Rathi left CSK at 111/5 by the end of the 15th over, with the match hanging in the balance.

The veteran skipper walked in with CSK needing 56 runs off 30 balls and turned back the clock in spectacular fashion. He remained unbeaten on 26 off just 11 deliveries, striking 2 sixes and a four, and combined with Shivam Dube (43* off 37) for an unbroken 57-run partnership. The duo chased down the target with three balls to spare, finishing at 168/5 in 19.3 overs.
