MS Dhoni is tipped to wear the captain's hat again for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2025! Although it seems sensational, the former India captain is tipped to make a return as the leader this season.
There's a chance that MS Dhoni might once again lead Chennai Super Kings when they face Delhi Capitals at Chepauk on Saturday.

Regular skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad is nursing an injury to his right forearm, which he sustained during CSK's previous game against the Rajasthan Royals. The incident occurred when a delivery from Tushar Deshpande, which kicked up unexpectedly from a short of good length, struck him on the arm.
Although Gaikwad carried on batting after receiving treatment on the field, he hasn't taken part in training sessions since then. CSK batting coach Mike Hussey confirmed on Friday that a decision on Gaikwad's availability would be made depending on how he performs in the nets.
"We're hoping he'll have a hit today at training. It's still a bit sore, but it's improving daily. We're very hopeful and quite confident that he'll be available for tomorrow's game," Hussey said.
Should Gaikwad miss out, Dhoni could step back into the leadership role, especially with CSK managing only one win from their first three matches and lacking clear alternatives for captaincy. When asked who might lead if Gaikwad is unavailable, Hussey admitted, "I'm not sure, actually. I haven't thought about it much. But I'm sure Fleming and Rutu have had discussions about it."
"But we've got some young guy coming through. He's behind the stumps. Maybe he can do a good job. I'm not sure. He's got a bit of experience in the role, so maybe he could do it. But I'm not exactly sure, to be honest," Hussey added without taking Dhoni's name.
The veteran has led CSK to five IPL titles over the years and if it will be a grand spectacle if he leads the team again on Saturday. Dhoni has been agile behind the stumps and has also shown his batting prowess in the season. The circle will be complete if he leads the team to Toss against the Capitals. Although Gaikwad has led the franchise brilliantly, the CSK fans may not mind their regular captain sitting one out.
