Mahendra Singh Dhoni's future in the Indian Premier League has been revealed as Chennai Super Kings announced the released players list on Sunday (November 26).
Ahead of the IPL 2024 mini-auction, Chennai Super Kings announced the players they are set to release and eight players have been named there.

South African pacer Sisanda Magala is one of them, while Dwaine Pretorius has also faced the axe. Odisha player Subhranshu Senapati and pacer Akash Singh will also have to seek pastures new in the next auction.
Kyle Jamieson, Bhagath Varma are the others released by CSK whereas Ben Stokes opted out of IPL and Ambati Rayudu retired at the end of last season.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni made a pledge that he wanted to be back next season when he won the IPL last year. And it looks like Dhoni has kept his promise, as the player has been retained by Chennai Super Kings.
The veteran player who has captained CSK to five IPL titles is all set to wear the yellow jersey again next season. Now, quite naturally, it means that Dhoni will also be captaining Chennai Super Kings and will be aiming to win their 6th title.
The former India captain underwent surgery for his injured knee and has already started training to keep himself fit ahead of the IPL 2024. Chennai Super Kings fans can also breathe a sigh of relief as Dhoni will at least be on the field for another season.
