MS Dhoni visits ancestral village in Almora with wife, spends time with Locals - Watch

On a day when the Indian cricket team was sealing their berth for the World Cup 2023 Final, MS Dhoni, who lifted the coveted glory previously, was busy spending time with his ancestral people at his native place.

Former India captain MS Dhoni went to visit his birthplace Lwali, a village in the Almora district of Uttarakhand. Although Dhoni was brought up in Ranchi, the legendary cricketer took birth at the foothills of the Kumaon hills in Lwali, a picturesque place in Uttarakhand.

And Dhoni, along with his wife Sakshi, visited his native place and spent a special time surrounded by people who are close to his roots.

The 42-year-old's picture at his ancestral home has gone viral on social media as Dhoni's wife shared it.

''Eventful day amongst all the Dhonis! Trust me there are many here,'' an Instagram post from Sakshi wrote.

A video has also gone viral where Dhoni has been seen posing with local villagers. The humble attitude of the former India captain is an open secret, and his mingling with those people speaks volumes about the man behind the 22 yards.

Although Dhoni has hung his national colours, Captain Cool is still an active player in the Indian Premier League. He lifted his 5th IPL title as the Chennai Super Kings captain in IPL 2023, and the former India captain is expected to play next year as well.
