With the IPL 2024 fast approaching, MS Dhoni has kicked off his preparations and a video of him batting in the nets has gone viral. Dhoni retired from international cricket back in 2020.
He does not even play any form of domestic cricket but at the age of 42, still gives fitness goals to numerous youngsters in the cash-rich league. He struggled with a knee injury in last season, and underwent a surgery immediately after winning the IPL 2023 final.

Like the last few seasons, MS Dhoni has kicked off preparations for the new season three months in advance. The wicketkeeper-batter would aim to play the role of finisher to perfection once again in the IPL 2024. Last season, Dhoni scored 104 runs in 106 matches at an average of 26 and a strike rate of 182.45.
In the video which has gone viral on social media, the former India captain can be seen lunging forward and driving a ball beautifully towards covers. He is wearing a black vest and the yellow pads of five-time champions CSK.
