MSN India launches personal cricket portal
Bangalore, Mar 13 (UNI) Joining the world cup fever in the country, MSN India today announced full swing coverage of the mega even its very own personal Channel http://www.msncricket.com, accessible on the internet and on WAP supported mobile phones.
The portal would deliver comprehensive and exclusive content to cricket fans across the country and even those fans who were on the move, according to a release here from MSN India.
Users could catch all the action as it happened both on the field and off it, straight from the Caribbean, with MSN's top World Cup stories, exclusive columns from Ricky Ponting, Stephen Fleming, Graeme Smith and Mahela Jayawardene, among others.
World Cup schedule, team profiles, pitch reports, photo galleries, controversies, match previews, live scorecards, exclusive slideshows and an audio update of all the action as it happened in West Indies would be offered by the portal, the release said.
''The World Cup is the Holy Grail of cricket and we are more than excited to be able to provide the followers of the game a holistic experience with our extended coverage. We are also giving our users all the action of the World Cup on their fingertips,'' MSN India Executive Producer Krishna Prasad said.
MSN India was also bringing out a downloadable Windows Mobile World Cup application where users with Windows Mobile platform phones could load the application to their phones and get live updates on the matches on GPRS without having to send SMS every time, the release said.
Also launched was the Vista World Cup Sidebar Gadget, catering to Windows Vista users, which would provide constant live score updates and feedback on their desktop.
