Mumbai Indians qualified for the playoffs in the last edition’s IPL under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Usually, they start their journey slowly before finding form at the right time. They finished fourth on the table last season, accumulating 16 points (8 wins, 6 defeats).
They knocked Lucknow Super Giants out of the competition in the Eliminator clash but they surrendered at the hands of Gujarat Titans in the Qualifier 2. Following IPL 2023, Hardik Pandya replaced Rohit Sharma as the new MI captain, a decision that shocked the cricket fraternity.

It remains to be seen what the future holds in store for Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians will kick-start their 2024 campaign against Gujarat Titans on March 24 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In this article, we will now take a glimpse at the five key performers for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2023 season.

His best performance came against Lucknow Super Giants wherein he registered 5/5 in the Eliminator clash and the 30-year-old has been retained by the franchise.
